The Cliffs of Moher

Today, we took a trip to the cliffs for a couple hours. They were absolutely gorgeous and so much better than I had ever heard someone describe. We walked around the path to the right for a little bit and went up to the tower to get some more pictures. I went to the top with a couple of people, and it was really cool to see the cliffs from a different and higher perspective. We walked around for a little while and ended up going to the shops inside the building and the little ones on the outside. Grace and I got these cute little puffin stuffed animals. Hers is named Fin, and mine's name is Puffie. I had him sit in my scarf for the rest of the walk around that we did. We did the 4D experience since we had time before the bus left, which was really cool to see a completely different perspective of the cliffs from a seagull's view, it took us around and down by the water, then under the water and changed to a fish's perspective, then back to the seagull's where it took us to some of the rocks around and then back to the start. Did it give me intense vertigo? Yes. Was it a very cool experience? Also yes. Would I do it again? Absolutely not. I think I would keel over. But anyway, the poem that I chose to pick for this experience was The Death of Cuehulain by Yeats, and I chose to relate the line "Go dwell upon the sea cliffs, vapour hid" because of the obvious cliffs of Moher and the vapor reference reminded me of the mist that came from the sea spraying against the cliffs. We didn't end up getting close enough to feel any of it, but you could see it if you looked toward the bottom and middle since it would rise up a little. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the fact that there were no Puffins!!! We tried looking out to some of the rocks since there were definitely birds there, but we couldn't tell if they were puffins or not. I will definitely be dragging my dad and my sister back to an area that's more well-known for puffins so that I can see just ONE before I leave Ireland.
