Walk to Abbey side
Yesterday, I decided that my workout at the gym wasn't enough, so around 7, I decided to go for a walk. The second I left the townhouse, I knew it was a good choice because the sunset was absolutely gorgeous. I walked out of my townhouse, and the sky was a very pretty orange and yellow, and the clouds were wispy. I wanted to walk around the corner towards the horse to see if I could get a better view, but it ended up changing. I walked to the corner and turned around to see the water was blue, purple, and pink, with the colors reflecting from the sky, and since the tide had rolled in so high, the clouds looked like they were so close to the water. I ran into Margaret on my way back toward the park, and we chatted for a minute about how gorgeous the night was. I kept walking around and thought of walking across the bridge to the abbey side so I could see the sunset better. So I walked up past the roundabout and turned around to see the sky in bright oranges and reds and all of these colors, and I just sat and smiled because I was so grateful to be able to sit and watch. I walked over the bridge, and some annoying guys kept yelling at me. they were young and just being stupid, so I took that as my sign to start heading back for the night. The poem I chose for this one was Adam's Curse and the two lines; "We saw the last embers of daylight die And in the trembling blue-green of the sky." I thought this was relevant to my walk during sunset, and I watched the sun go down completely, and while tonight it was mostly purples and pinks, the blues and the greens of the sky still reflected in the water as I walked back to the park for the night. I really enjoy the walks I take because it forces me to focus on the moment I'm in, and I really enjoy it because I don't know when I'm going to come back to Ireland if I ever get the chance to. So I want to take it all in when I can because the area really is beyond gorgeous, and I'm so lucky to experience it.
